LOVE it!!!!!. The best italian/european food I have ever had and for a GREAT price. The alfredo sauce was delicious... The red sauce was delicious... the bread was delicious. Not the best place for kids but my 2 year old enjoyed it anyways. We will definitely be going back here! View all feedback.
What Martha B doesn't like about Pinettas European Restaurant:
would place it on another table away from me. That was also not possible. I then told the waiter that if I went into anaphylactic shock it would be on the owner since I warned them. The waiter was so kind that I did order something else and it was so salty that it was inedible. Bottom line is I will never go back and will spread the word about the craziness of the owner of this place. Please do not waste time or mone... View all feedback.
Probably my favorite restaurant. I remember my first visit as a teenager. the dear older gentleman waiter in the golden blazer sings “I left my heart in san Francisco” as I have sweetened the most delicious I had ever eaten. everything I ordered at pinetta was delicious. it is the perfect first date or 50 years jubilee restaurant. almost 3 decades later it is still my favourite place to eat. I love that I can introduce people now; it's such a good kept secret! if you think to go out, just go. and if it's her first time and she loves to eat Italian, they try the lasagne or the parmesan, they won't be disappointed.
Have heard of this place and insisted on a weekly bias. for the first time on Valentine's Day and blown away. they have Italian, Turkish and German courts. we started with the normal Italian and a bottle of wine. we are hooked after the first time. the feeling of the dark place with lots of material handling, small very comfortable feeling. 2 Italian, 2 German, 2 Turkish courts and 2 desserts and tried 2 different wee (selected one of them.) each court was incredibly good. I always want to try something else. it is a hidden gem in baton rouge.
You can think when you enter that you went to a small walkway café in another country, but no, still baton rouge so not panicked unless you did not bring cash. eating is excellent. the atmosphere is very comforting, welcoming and warm. I wouldn't dress too warm. the menu is correspondingly favorable. they have great Italian and also German foods. bring them a date and enjoy them!
My favorite restaurant in br. lived there a few years ago for the school and found the jewel. further back when I am in town and will come for years. order them with the red sauce, it is phenomenal!
Very small and quaint. The atmosphere is very charming and dates to the 70's. The food is amazing. I had the scalopini (spelling and it was delicious. My wife had the seafood ravioli special and said the same. Everyone at our table raved about how great their meal was. Before we left we made plans to return in two weeks to celebrate our son's birthday! Will be back...
