the worst we ever had. had raw red tweepers in the crab. steak was not cooked at the right temperature. kartoffels were cold and hard, the worst kartoffels I've ever had. $17 for a small mixed drink. $200 we've ever spent. View all feedback.
Absolutely worth a lunch and dinner visit...Staff is fabulous, and we ordered several items on the menu, all excellent.
We went for my wife's B-Day. The atmosphere was very inviting, clean and intimate. The food was top-notch at a reasonable price for fine dining. The foods flavors were spot on especially the crab toast appetizer. I kept dipping that soft bread in the warm crab butter.! The entree's were also excellent! The Hallelujah Crab I have no words for! Just Awesome! Pleas order it!
This long time (since 1984) restaurant is under new management and has been completely refurbished inside. It also has a new menu, but retained some of the old time favorites notably the duck gumbo and hallelujah soft shell crab. We were there for Sunday brunch for a friend's birthday. The service was excellent and our table of six all loved their meals. Based on this visit I would say the problems of the past have been resolved and the reopening kinks have been worked out. I will definitely be going back very soon.
Make sure you try the boudin dip. I forgot to take a picture until after it was all gone. The red fish was delicious. Their service was great. I can't wait to go back and try the jazz brunch.
I just love everything about Juban. On this night my love and sat in the room with the fireplace. It was so cozy. Our drink waiter ordered me a strawberry lemonade with ginger beer.....so good. I ordered salmon and my love ordered ribeye. Salmon was cooked to preferred medium. It could have cooked for 2 more minutes but was still really good. Ribeye was medium....absolutely delicious. Oh and the boudin dip is a must try.
