This place is awesome. Food is always great and you get to watch it made if you go in and order. Spring rolls were awesome but sometimes the salad was... iffy. Miso soup is a little bland and watered down for my liking. Lot of food for what you pay! Regular here in college View all feedback.
What Mary Turner doesn't like about Hibachi Xpress:
I got the hibachi fried rice. My order was ready quickly, and the service was good. The food was just bad. Flavor was mediocre. Chicken dry. But the shrimp was inedible, mushy and spoiled; i immediately spit it out. I am just hoping I don’t get food poisoning at this point. View all feedback.
Had previously leff a review regarding poor food I recieved. The owner reached out and affered a refund and spoke to the cook. I appreciate him making the extra customer service effort.
I'm not sure if today was a one off or not but this was my first time ever visiting. From the cook to the cashier there seems to be a since that no one cared. The time was super long, the cook on the very low grade beef was over cooked, the shrimp was old and the sauce used to mop everything was broken and watery, the rice tastes old and lacked flavor and character. I don't like having to rate things to this magnitude, but it was unreal as if all was a prank. So it was my first and my last Tim unfortunately.

Probably the worst and most expensive hibachi I've had. Everything in there is overpriced. The Ramune is $4 like Japanese soda is a rare commodity. Even the fountain drinks (doesn't come with the meal) is $2.59?!?!
Was not greeted upon entering, and had to acknowledge them in order to talk to someone. Restaurant seemed clean, and was empty of any patrons when I visited. Pretty dark but lots of tvs! Food was good, only received 4 shrimp in my order (the combination shrimp, chicken and steak teriyaki) for $17. Did not eat the salad it came with, but it looked fresh enough. Comes with plenty of sauce on the side. The lo mein was the best part imo as well as the spring rolls! Will revisit again.
