Fabulous meal every time with great service. Locally sourced menu with great sides for those who like a veggie plate. We enjoy the patio dining more as itâs loud inside but still worth going. Nice place for friends or date night. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Eliza:
Disappointed in food quality. Didn't feel welcome. Server did a good job though and was very friendly. One of my guests had uncooked shrimp. It was not handled well. I know this is a popular place so maybe we just had a bad night? View all feedback.
We are visiting Baton Rouge, and I was so excited to try the gluten free fried seafod platter! I was slightly disappointed that there was so much breading on it. But the seafood and fish was fresh and sweet, once I got some of the breading off. My husband had the baked Gulf fish, and it was delectable! The service was excellent!
Shrimp Grits were delicious but the banana pudding is the reason we went it was the best! The host along with the quite and small dining area was welcoming.
The food was okay. But their customer service and their drinks are EXCELLENT! We weren't happy with a court, but we didn't say anything. We just said we didn't want a box for it. They forced the court anyway and without telling us. Tableware and service 10/10. Food 7/10 Be ready for a French/European type of cooking unlike us and I am sure the experience will be 10/10!
The food was absolutely delicious. The crab cakes were to die for. Our server was so kind and most informative. We were passing through on a girls trip and we definitely be stopping for lunch on our way back to airport.
On our way to Vegas from Florida and our trip brought us through Baton Rouge. Travelling with my son who has Celiacs is often trying to find restaurants with GF options. So, while driving, my son Googled different local restaurants who could accommodate his dietary needs. Eliza Restaurant Bar was at the top of the search. We did our cursory research; GF options, atmosphere, and price. We decided to give it a go . I opted for 2, less expensive, menu items and my son hit for the stars with the pricier option. I had the fried green tomato with shrimp appetizer and a Eliza House Salad while my son chose the crab cake lunch. The house salad boasts homemade croutons which could have used more seasoning and the salad was overdressed but fresh and tasty. The fried green tomato and shrimp appetizer was served with a hint of a spicy Cajun dressing. It was perfectly seasoned and topped with micro greens. Excellent! The crab cake lunch was a hearty portion of lump crab meat served with a spicy sauce but not overpowering the crab cake. Also serve with fries and a corn salad. Eliza Restaurant Bar was an excellent choice for good fresh food made I 'll be in a little tweaking needs to happen and $32 for two crab cakes is on the price your side so be prepared. If we ever have the opportunity to come back through Baton Rouge Louisiana we will make it a point to stop at Eliza 's and enjoy lunch again.
