Had chicken Parmesan and it was very good. I love the way the chicken is very thin filets. The angel hair pasta is to die for! Our waitress was very nice. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table, so not bad, but they didn 't have an overly huge or comfortable waiting area. It is a very loud restaurant also. We will be back. Nice for a 'date night '. What Chris doesn't like about Copeland's of New Orleans:
I'm a big fan of Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro, and was hoping for a new place similar to take the clients. Big disappointment. Never saw a place with so many snooty staff members before, from the hostess to the wait staff, everyone seemed to have an attitude. The food was OK, but everything fried tasted the same, from the shrimp, crawfish and the oysters, all seamed to be cooked together in the same fryer. Prices wer... View all feedback.
I was incredibly impressed with the flavor and food quality served at this restaurant. Copeland's began in New Orleans and since 1983 has spread all over the Nation. This was my first visit but will definitely not be the last. Now that I know how absolutely fabulous the food here tastes I will drive an hour to eat here again in my own home state. The inside is very tastefully decorated with a hammered tin ceiling and wall-to-wall mirrors around to make it seem very open and posh. After being seated we were served by a very friendly and professional young lady. She welcomed us here for our first visit and helped it be quite a memorable one. We looked over the lunch menu and saw that smaller portions were served of some of the Dinner Favorite Entrées for lite eaters such as myself. When my Lobster Ravioli came at first I was surprised to see there were only 5 on my small plate but after that first bite, I was completely enthralled by the delectable tenderness of the fresh crab and light cheese sauce which blended together so magnificently. Turned out, that I almost couldn't finish all five pieces. The biscuits served on the side were incredibly fluffy and liberally spread with tasty butter that simply melted in my mouth! If you still have room for desert, Copeland's features many flavors of Gourmet Cheesecake that you can choose from. Eating here was a surprise treat and we will definitely look forward to our next visit soon!

Prices were a little high for seafood for this area, when there are so many good places to go.
Crab and corn bisque is the best in town!. Service was great, most of the food was great too!<br/ The garlic filet is awesome! My daughters shrimp on her pasta was a little overcooked, but they took care of the problem quickly and were very attentive.<br/ <br/ If you go, definitely start off with the corn and crab bisque... It's out of this world!!! Way better than any other in town!
Updated 1/9/17: This was my favorite restaurant since childhood. I was so happy there was one in Baton Rouge when I moved here in 1995. I 've had a tradition since I was 14 of going to Copeland 's on my birthday. In a few weeks I will celebrate my birthday there for the 26th year in a row and will keep up my tradition! I love everything but my favorite item is the Bayou Broccoli appetizer. Soooooo good. Been getting it for over 26 years. People say you don 't go to Copeland 's to get a burger, but I disagree since the Copeland burger is one of the best burgers around. It 's on a croissant with their signature tiger sauce which is awesome. I am sad that they changed the show string French fries to big fat fries though. The Catfish Acadiana with a side of red hots is another one of my favorites. But nothing is bad here. I did try the crab cake on zucchini 'pasta ' today which is a newer item. Flavor was excellent but the zucchini was cooked down a little too much so it did not look like pasta when I make it at home. It also wasn 't spiraled to look like spaghetti it was more like shredded. But the sauce was great. Service was always great, and then it went down for a few years, but it has improved 200% in the last year or two (new management maybe? . They are undergoing renovations now so I 'm curious to see how it will turn out.
Pleased to report Copelands has turned around!! The renovated decor is tasteful and clean. The new manager gets customer service and is getting the staff to understand.(in BR this is no mean feat! The Sunday Jazz brunch is the best in town. A huge $20 buffet of real food, breakfast and lunch items with the kitchen staff out front proudly showing what they can do! Real Jazz combo playing at a brunch volume... Awesome. Well done guys!
