Good selection of lunch specials till 2:00. The shrimp poboy, seafood gumbo, fish on angel hair pasta special and Mississippi mud, all of it was delicious. Service very good also. View all feedback.
What Monica Williams doesn't like about City Cafe:
Overall everything was ok. We ordered brunch for curbside and opted to get the chicken and waffles as well as the grilled pork hop with scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and a biscuit. Upon arrival the curbside area is not designated so I called to ask and was advised to pull by the 2 black tables and someone would be out 20 minutes later I was still waiting so I called again because a small line started to form be... Great recommendation for lunch. We'll be back again.
Great Louisiana crawdaddies. Lil hot, but the way I like em. Worked well with the amount of beer I wanted.
Their boudin balls and loaded fries were good but their pasta was horrible tasted like old pet milk mixed with seasoning and when I tried to tell the manager I didn't like it she said she couldn't take it back just because I didn't like it and that all sells were final. If I was able to send it back and order something else I would have but I wasn't even offered the opportunity. I was told I could take the food I didn't like home with me in a to go box. If I didn't like it here why would I like it at home. I will not be back.
Everyone was very nice on my first visit to the restaurant. Food was fresh and hot and came out quickly. Majority of their dishes are pasta based. They do offer chargrilled oysters, so I will go back to try those. In this trip I ordered the eggplant medallions over pasta with a side salad. They give you a nice portion of food so I definitely felt like I got my moneys worth. However, the food was bland and very little seasoning. If that’s what you’re looking for cool, but I require a bit more spice.
Overall, great place, reasonable prices. Waitress attentive.
