What an experience for my tastebuds!Exceeded my expectations! Being from the Maryland, I was excited to have some southern food! I came here for a week long training and Cecelia?s was conveniently located by the hotel I?m staying at. So needless tosay, my excitement was through the roof. We started off with a drink, some alligator bites, and gumbo for appetizers! My gosh, the flavor smacked my tastebuds in a great way! Then the entrees, O.M.G! The shrimp and grits I knew was going to be good itwas amazing, full of flavor for sure. The blackened redfish was great too with the étouffée! If you happen to be downtownBaton Rouge, please do yourself a favor and try this restaurant out! You won?t be disappointed!
Tried this restaurant out for the first time while out dining with friends. The food was really good. In other words, we conversed while waiting on our food to be served but the table fell into complete silence as we ate only speaking to comment onhow good the food tasted. The service was impeccable and ran as smooth as a perfectly tuned clock. Loved the modern woodsy styleand unique personality of the interior of the restaurant. Small yet intimate and would be great for a date night. My friendstried the various pastas especially their seafood pasta and loved them all. I tried a little of the cornbread skillet which wasdelicious and a nice twist on traditional cornbread. And for my entree, I had the Catfish Laurel which was really good andcomforting and I enjoyed eating every bite. I left feeling satisfied not stuffed. Great experience. Great comfort food.Wonderful waitstaff and friendly and attentive service. Would eat there again trying the other meals my friends raved about.Definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great local restaurant. Corn bread with maple bourbon syrup was delicious regretted not getting the full size order. Food and drinks were yummy too. ???? Great service.
An absolute gem in the heart of downtown. The menu is full unique and delicious Creole options. Our meals were cooked to perfection. The flavor in each bite had the right balance of spice with savory. My only complaint is too many incrediblesounding dishes on the menu. Our server Sarah was attentive, helpful and has pride in her profession. The drink menu was loadedwith amazing sounding beverages too. If I could give it more stars I would! Looking forward to returning soon.
Even with a large party for a birthday dinner, this was a very nice dining experience! Our server was very thorough and patient without rushing us or making us feel like a burden. Our food came out in a timely manner and everyone got the correct orders.Appetizers and salads came out first, then entrees just as they were ordered. The fries were definitely homemade and fresh! Igot the tri tail, which was the special for the day and it was amazing! The fish wasn't too salty, the sauces brought all theflavors together and the dish was more than filling for the price. It's a very nice setting, not too loud, not too quiet, perfect for date night, girls night, or just a relaxing dining experience. I'll definitely be back!
