Contribute FeedbackThe overall reviews for this restaurant are mixed. While some diners have had poor experiences with long wait times, cold food, and small portions, others have enjoyed the food and service. One reviewer was particularly disappointed with the portion size of their dish and felt that they were overcharged. The noise level in the restaurant was also mentioned as being too high for comfortable conversation. On the positive side, some diners appreciated the brunch options and the availability of the full menu. It seems that there is room for improvement in terms of service consistency and attention to detail but also potential for a good dining experience if expectations are managed.
It is our tradition to eat lunch at capital city grill before seeing the Nutcracker every December. it never disappoints! they have a child-friendly menu and great atmosphere--not to mention a pretty christmas tree to admire while waiting.
Great place to have a business meal in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge! Love the food and professional service.
Excellent service. Thanks to Will M for the special attention.
Food and service were good. We went for brunch on Sunday and I was happy to see that in addition to the brunch menu, the full menu was available. My only complaint is that the noise level is high. We were a table of six and you couldn't talk with people on the opposite end of the table because the noise was so loud.
Had reservations for 6 on Open Table and it only said 2. I noticed and thought I edited it but apparently not so 6 of us were shoved in a booth. We were seated at 616 and informed them we had a show to go to at 730 nearby. Cocktails were served in wine glasses and coffee cup saucers were used for appetizers, not eclectic but apparently the dishwasher did not show nor did the cook. Had salads at 715 and entree never arrived so we left to catch our show.
