Contribute FeedbackThe overall reviews for this restaurant are mixed. While some diners have had poor experiences with long wait times, cold food, and small portions, others have enjoyed the food and service. One reviewer was particularly disappointed with the portion size of their dish and felt that they were overcharged. The noise level in the restaurant was also mentioned as being too high for comfortable conversation. On the positive side, some diners appreciated the brunch options and the availability of the full menu. It seems that there is room for improvement in terms of service consistency and attention to detail but also potential for a good dining experience if expectations are managed.
It is our tradition to eat lunch in the capital's grill before they see the nuscracker every December. they have a child-friendly menu and a great atmosphere - not to mention a beautiful Christmas tree while waiting.
Great place to have a business dinner in the heart of the inner city of baton rouge! they love eating and professional service.
Excellent service. thanks to the wishes of m for the special attention.
Possibly just an inexperienced wait staff, but there was lots of room for improvement. Our waiter brought me a red wine instead of the prosecco I requested and wasn’t attentive to everyone’s drink refills. We were a party of 8 and our entrees were delivered in 3 different stages and one persons soup never came. Mostly everyone enjoyed their food but the filet mignon was flavorless and undercooked on one of our salads.
I hope this was just a bad night. The server seemed to be distracted at best. The food was cold and not prepared consistent even for our table. We all ordered the gumbo. One had a lot of rice, two had a little bit of rice, and the fourth had no rice.
