Was Anonym at Piper Bistro a mag?
Two of us ate well here. It's usually safest to eat pub food when in a pub but I had wild boar ragout and it was great - well cooked and served, with not too much or little of anything. The beer selection has gone downhill, it's still well looked after but they have lost an edge they had over competitors.Very good service makes this a nice escape. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Piper Bistro:
Other people in our group liked their meals (burgers, salmon)But our meal pork pizza was tasteless all i could taste was flour/dough, even checked the bottom to make sure it was cooled properly. Someone we where with had the steak, order medium but came out rare- too raw for him to even eat. I would return to try something new but just wouldnt get the pizza. Pizza =1/10 (in my personal opinion) View all feedback.

To be honest, the last time we ate here the food was pretty ordinary. However, we had been told it had improved so we decided to give it another go, as it once was our favourite. So, the positives, service was great, Daniel is always good, and our waitress tonight, Jodie, was excellent. The garlic and rosemary bread was delicious, as was the squid. The menu is more leaning toward pub food now , and the fish and chips, and the burger were good, the burger was nice and juicy and we enjoyed our meals. However, this was Friday night and there were only 3 couples in the place. This is a really nice space and I don't think it can be sustained with so little custom. The pub below has a bad reputation in town, so the bistro needs to distance itself from that. It is a space that deserves to be more upmarket than just pub food. It was great that it had real music playing instead of the muzac of last time, but please ditch the TV ! I would LOVE to see the whitebait back on the menu, and a few more dessert choices including something chocolate ! Trying to be constructive here ! You have got it partly right, you just need a bit more thought to get it back to what it was. When you used to have live music with local artists, that was a drawcard, and I am sure many people then used to stay on for dinner. Good luck !

The service was friendly, but the food was overpriced and of poor quality. The portion sizes were adequate, but charging $6 for a very small soft taco is outrageous. The fries were overcooked and flavorless, sticking together. A beer, two sodas, two burgers, and a salad all came to a total of $94! I will not be returning to this restaurant.
During our second visit to this restaurant, the food arrived much quicker and was delicious. The 1/2 butcher block provided more than enough meat for the two of us, who both enjoy meat. There were many gluten-free options available. The children's buttermilk chicken was excellent, and we were pleased to see a children's menu option that our 2-year-old enjoyed, not just the typical frozen nuggets. The service was friendly and there were plenty of high chairs available. Overall, a good dining option to have in Bathurst.
