I ate here a couple of times but found the cafe too noisy, it is very busy and most people seemed to like it. Twice when I requested a sandwich, I asked staff to ensure that clean utensils were used as I have a severe allergy. Both times my egg sandwich arrived with beetroot on bread where the knife cut my sandwich. So obviously they reuse utensils without washing them between use. Too risky for me, they do not take enough care with food hygiene.
This cafe really needs some improvements.Ordering at the counter was easy once you worked out how this cafe works. Get a number and sit down at a table. It will be a good idea to remove the other numbers on the table left by other customers and not removed by the wait staff. My tea arrived with a dirty strainer which had to be replaced. Strawberry smoothie was so bad my daughters couldn't drink it. Toast came out swimming in margarine. Seriously, that was a health hazard. Daughters pancakes where not cooked through. We were left to get our own cutlery as there was one waitress for the whole cafe. After complaining about the tea strainer and toast we were over asking them to correct the other food. We left, food uneaten.
