Make sure to pay atte... read more If you're strolling along the canal from Bath and plan to stop for lunch at the barge cafe, be aware that it might be unexpectedly closed. Make sure to pay attention to the sign on the bridge directing you to Cafe 25. I missed it and ended up taking the long route, but it only enhanced my experience. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the cute china cups added a lovely touch. I also enjoyed some homemade flapjack for my journey back. While I personally think blueberries don't belong in salad and the napkins could be of better quality, I highly recommend this cafe to anyone exploring the towpath. It's definitely worth the uphill trek!

We had the roast chicken and roast lamb, both of which were cooked to perfection. The lamb was incredibly tender and delicious. Our meal came with a wonderful variety of vegetables. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, which was a homemade fruit crumble. We plan to return during the week when we hope the crumble will be available again. Thank you to everyone involved!
