We were attending a wedding in Bath on Saturday. We were looking for a sophisticated restaurant for Friday night as we ourselves were celebrating a very special wedding anniversary and birthday the following weekend. We were absolutely not disappointed from the moment we arrived until we left the waiters were so attentive. The meal was beautiful chosen from a minimal menu, which can be see on line. The presentation first class. There was no rush for us to finish our meal and the ambience just perfect. The restaurant needs to be more visible from outside we walked around with our maps looking for it. However loads of nearby street parking available. We would absolutely recommend the Bouvardia.
Wonderful food and service. A bit quiet on our first night but better atmosphere on the second.
Small restaurant but very pleasant. Food was delicious and presented well. Service was great and waiting staff were courteous and left just the right amount of time between courses to rest and chat with family. Just right for a special treat. Will definately go there again.
Our trip and excellent again. Love being able to have pre dinner drinks in the lounge whilst perusing the menu and then returning to the lounge for coffee. All our meals were excellent as was the wine and service. One of our party had a birthday and we were served some lovely truffles on a happy birthday iced plate which was a lovely touch. One small suggestion was that all our meals could have done with a bit more of the sauces that they came with, maybe a little pot on the side? Minor thing though, we'll be back.
Nestled in a quaint location in Bath, this restaurant offers a refined dining experience marked by excellent service and an intimate atmosphere. Diners are treated to beautifully presented dishes, crafted with care using high-quality ingredients. While some patrons have expressed disappointment with certain menu items, the six-course tasting menu is often a highlight, showcasing an array of flavors. The elegant decor and attention to detail enhance the overall experience, making it an ideal venue for special occasions. Although pricing may be on the higher side, many guests leave with a sense of satisfaction, eager for a return visit.

The staff at the hotel/restaurant is extremely polite and professional. The food was top-notch, with delicious flavors and beautiful presentation.
The food was amazing and the service was very good. I think the decor is a bit old-fashioned, but it doesn't take away from the overall dining experience.
From stepping through the door way till we departed for home it was a joy. Beautiful crisp white table linen and tastefully decorated. Light and bright space, not over crowded. Attentive, friendly staff with the right balance of discretion. The meal was outstanding we chose the restaurant for the 6 course menu (unlike other restaurants there was a choice of 3 starters, main desserts). We hope to visit again.
Our meal was a family gathering of 8 adults to celebrate a 90th birthday. Bouvardia was a perfect venue for us from start to finish the manager came out to greet us in the carpark to make sure our blue badge holders were well looked after and the attention to detail and care continued throughout our meal, making it a very special meal for us indeed. In addition, the food was excellent with enough choices on the set Sunday lunch offering to suit everyone and the setting in the conservatory was sufficiently private to suit us well. At £45 a head for the 3 course menu it was excellent value for money for such quality. All in all, we were delighted to have discovered this venue!

We were kindly invited by the team at Bouvardia to come and dine at their restaurant this weekend. From the moment we entered we were struck by the elegance and sophistication of the restaurant, and the superb service and attention to detail from the staff. We arrived for the start of dinner service at 17:30, something we would highly recommend as we were able to enjoy seeing the restaurant sparkle in the sunlight, as the modern decor boasts stunning skylights and a dazzling mirror wall. This intimate dining room then played host to a wonderful evening of food and drink that were beautifully presented and extremely tasty in equal measure! Homemade Organic Stone Baked Sourdough with Honey Butter £8) Loved the sweet and delicate notes of the honey in the butter and the crunch of freshly baked bread! Braised Pork Cheek with Fennel and Chilli Salad and Pork Jus £14) This was the showstopper dish of the day for us and really set the tone for the rest of the meal! It melted in the mouth and had a wonderful smokey flavour. Miso Aubergine with Toasted Walnuts and Den Miso Sauce £10) Another favourite from our visit! It had a rich umami flavour which stimulates the palate and the accompaniments gave it a nice crunch. Duck Breast with a Plum Glaze, Candied Orange and a Red Wine Jus £27) The duck was cooked medium, it was tender and succulent and had a lovely crisp and flavoursome skin. The sauce was rich, fruity and really moreish! Fillet of Sea Bass with Mint Salsa Verde, Crispy Mussels and Preserved Lemon Garnish £29) Lovely flakey fish with crispy skin, the lemon came through nicely and the mint packed a nice punch! We also loved the contrast between the soft fish and the crunch of the mussels. ️ To accompany our mains we ordered: Garlic and Parsley Crushed New Potatoes £6) lovely, fresh and herby! Grilled Vegetables with Pesto £6) we really enjoyed the charred flavour of these, especially on the cabbage. No meal is complete without dessert so we ordered: Dark Chocolate and Orange Torte with a Hazelnut Crumb Base and Coconut Sorbet £11) The torte has a subtle orange flavour which I really enjoyed as it wasn’t at all artificial or overpowering. It was incredibly rich so the portion size was perfect! The coconut sorbet was nice and sweet and complimented the dark chocolate flavours. The candied orange garnish was also very tasty! Sticky Toffee Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce and Chantilly Cream £13) We were blown away by how light and fluffy this was as often sticky toffee pudding can be quite dense. The butterscotch sauce was so delicious we could drink it!! For drinks we were recommended by our server to order the Sauvignon Blanc as it pairs well with the Seabass and she was absolutely correct! It had fresh, peachy undertones and complimented the fish nicely. We also ordered a light and fruity Australian Rose which paired well with the duck!
