The staff were very friendly and attentive but the food was very overpriced for what it was. The atmosphere is not the greatest, not very intimate and a bit awkward. I had scallops to begin and at £20 for a starter you expect excellent quality, however the scallop was cooked ok but the broth was under seasoned and a little bit bland. Fabulous fresh local food nothing from place. definitiw a five-star restaurant, small portions but very fill them pay for what they will get back in any case
My family celebrated a birthday party at the hotel and reserved a table for dinner. We enjoyed a wonderful meal; although the menu was small, every selection was delicious. I began with the pea soup, followed by a steak with peppercorn sauce. The entire meal was fantastic. The staff were excellent, and they efficiently arranged for a cake to be brought out.
Stayed at hotel, so we dined in, first evening. Thought our meal was superb, good value for money, for a hotel. My fish was beautifully cooked, desserts were gorgeous! Service was 10/10
Delicious steak citrus pudding was unexpected and very tasty.
