Visited this cafe as I was given a Groupon voucher for my birthday. On arrival the whole place looked dirty. I was sceptical about eating here but thought we’d give it a go. The food in the fridge looked like it had been there for forever and the bowls the food were in had had dried edges to them. The sink was full of dirty dishes and the lady in front of us in the queue needed a spoon, so the man took the spoon from the sink and just rubbed it between his thumbs to clean it. We had to wait ages for the cream tea to arrive. Once the Scones arrived I started to add the cream and jam and the cream had clearly gone off. It tasted horrendous. We briskly walked out and went to the nearest Costa. A waste of a voucher but didn’t want to stay a minute longer.
My mum treated me and my partner to an all you can eat vegetarian meal at this restaurant on groupon. when we arrived we sat down and immediately the lovely staff member began preparing our falafel and pittas for us which were beautiful and made our hot drinks. we were then offered more of our main when we finished but we’re stuffed! then we had our middle eastern sweet which was lovely too can’t recommend enough
I've been to the old station café for several times and I have to say that it is one of the best family led shops around here. The coffee is delicious and the service is always accompanied with smiles. So I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to pop by.
In my opinion this restaurant is wonderful, the food is really tasty, the owner is very friendly and I recommend everyone to come here for good lunch or evening coffee/tea
