What User doesn't like about The King Of Wessex:
Their jacket potatoes are usually tasty and come with a good variety of fillings. This particular filling wasn't as tasty as I would have liked, therefore I didn't enjoy it as much. This restaurant needs a decent cleaning and updating, just like every other location in the franchise. The empty tables don't appear to have been cleaned. To prepare for situations like this, we always carry some wipes. All Weatherspoons... View all feedback.
How can you justify a 37% price increase on Ruddles best? I go to Wetherspoons for great value for money, but less than a year ago, we could visit Wetherspoons and buy Ruddles best at £1.48, now its well over £2.00. How can you justify a 37% increase with inflation at 8%?
As per title, visited during the busiest Saturday in the calendar and the Staff were a credit to their business. We had to wait for a table, such was the crowd on the premises, but the wait at the bar was minimal, the tables were cleared and wiped within 5 10 minutes of sitting down. Our food arrived as ordered within 10 15 minutes max. Wow, claps for the team at the King of Wessex you are an asset of great value. Our local spoons at Worcester (The Crown) should send the Staff to Bath for some training, because they could learn so much. In comparison The crown is pitiful.
Not the best Wetherspoons to be honest. Same Ales on both sets of hand pumps. Most Wetherspoons have a large selection of ales but didn’t get that here. Only 2 guest ales on.
We were visiting Bath to see the legendary Teenage Fanclub at Komedia and had an hour to kill before the gig. We wanted some quick food and a beer and Spoons fits the bill plus very near to Komedia. Arrived at 6pm, got a table and ordered 2 x fish and chips with drinks immediately. Service was quick and the fish had a lively crisp batter, the fresh was flaky and white it was lovely and pretty generous portion. The beer was an Otters ale and that was a good sup and ridiculously cheap at £1.30 a pint. People have a right moan about Spoons but this was a decent one. Don't know what some expect but we were satisfied with the visit and I've had far worse from other pubs and Bern ripped off elsewhere not here though.
There was a situation which made me and friends very uncomfortable, I spoke to luke about it, the way luke and the staff dealt with the situation was perfect, thumbs up to u all, and thank u
