Fantastic little place, me and my son regularly go there after a stay and play group upstairs. The staff are incredibly friendly and the coffee is great, but my the cakes are incredible! Amazing sizes for extremely reasonable prices, and each one absolutely delicious. I haven't had many of the lunches, but I had the fish finger sandwich and it was very tasty, and the side salad had a very nice dressing. The quiche was also the best quiche I've had in my whole life! There's also a little play area for little ones to play so it's very, very kid friendly.
As ever, PERFECT place to rest with a nice cuppa, tea, a slice of home-made cake. Very good value. Natural chef with creative talent for baking !
I visited for a coffee and slice of cake with my baby. It was SO nice. The cake was a fresh coffee and walnut cake that was v light and fluffy. The portion was nice and generous too. There was plenty of space for the pram and it had a lovely calm atmosphere. The people running the cafe were really welcoming. I’m local and we have lots of lovely cafes in Bath, but this was the best cake and atmosphere I have come across.
Karolina makes some of the best cakes in Bath. Following the fire at Green Park that destroyed the Honey Box, she is now running the Honey Cafe at St Swithins. She is offering a full menu but so far I am still focussed on the cake.
We are nearby this new café, so we decided to stop in for some coffee and cake. The coffee was excellent and all the cakes and slices were fresh and tasty. The standout was the orange and polenta cake. The goats cheese and caramelised onion quiche had a generous filling and a delicate, thin pastry. All the food is made fresh by a wonderful lady who works there, and the service is very friendly. The café is located inside St Swithin’s church at the end of Walcot Street, a bit off the beaten path but definitely worth the quick walk.
