enjoy this golf course play, last few holes very tricky, greens in good condition, fairways suffer from the remains of the summer, great welcome and super bacon roll before play and really enjoyable ring buffet and when we were last I was super, how to eat was beautifully presented on tablets with lots of for three hungry golfers! we recommend a day golf thanks to all affected View all feedback.
What thegiblins2018 doesn't like about Hayward's Kitchen:
While this establishment is mainly a golf club, it does have a restaurant that is open to non-members. A group of friends who were not there for sports gathered for lunch. Unfortunately, four out of five people ordered steaks, which turned out to be nearly inedible. Even after asking for steak knives to try to salvage the meal, most of the steaks ended up uneaten and returned to the kitchen. The offer of a free coffe... View all feedback.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The planning beforehand was excellent, and the evening went smoothly. It was great value and a lot of fun. The bar and waiting staff were efficient and friendly, the food was delicious, and it was the best Christmas party I've ever been to. Thank you!
Booked for Sunday Lunch. Contrary to common belief you do not need to be a member of Saltford Golf Club to use the Social Facilities. However, for £20 a year you can get social membership which gives about 15% off all drinks and food. The ambiance is lovely and the food is exceptional. There is always a good range of Sunday roasts as well as alternatives and the portions are generous. This time I opted for the Cornish Mussels in a fantastic sauce, one of the best that I have ever tasted. The service is friendly and relaxed with no feeling of being rushed. We stayed for about three hours with leisurely breaks between courses. The desserts were divine. Well worth a visit and once you do you will return. During the week food is taken in the bar (on a par with the best of lounges) starting with breakfast onwards. During the winter months there is no evening service as the club closes.

Even after asking for steak knives to try to salvage the meal, most of the steaks ended up uneaten and returned to the kitchen. The offer of a free coffee did not make up for the poorly cooked meal. It seems that not many reviews have been submitted over time, suggesting that this dining experience may be best suited for golf club members.
Saltford's best kept secret is out!!!! What a fantastic Sunday lunch we had here, we had booked a table for four not knowing what to expect. But we were all surprised by the whole experience from start to finish. The staff were all super friendly, and the service was impeccable. We sat at a table overlooking the patio, which we made good use of whilst waiting for our lunch to arrive. The Sunday lunch was one of the best Sunday Lunches that we had eaten (all four of us agreed on this. in a very long time, everything was cooked to perfection with really large portions. My roast beef was stunningly good, and so was everyone else's meals. Puddings were of equal size quality, and a good range of beers to boot. This will now be our preferred place for Sunday lunch we will be back VERY soon....
Catering for post funeral. Booked the middle of the afternoon buffet menu and were delighted. Portions were ample and doggie bags were required. Staff were lovely and a perfect end to a sad day.
