Was User at Po a mag?
The first time here. Place was full. Something had to wait for our table. Just reason for a less star. It was worth it! We had several tables celebrating a birthday party. Guinness French Onion Soup and the crabcakes are what I have chosen. Both were well prepared and very delicious! Service was fast, efficient and very friendly! In any case, a place you would return at several times if not do something at home. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Po:
We've been here for years. Today three cattle briquettes with sides of the Koleslaw and Mac-n cheese were ordered. Absolutely horrified to find out it costs $60. I then went to A Ca Mia's in Walnutport for diner and for the same price had two variety rib meals, chicken entree, salmon appetizer, three salads and rolls. Not only better meal, then Point Phillips left for lunch the next day. Seriously disappointed with P... View all feedback.

We were referred by the Fibert B&B to have dinner here, and the food at this restaurant was so good that my husband savored every bite of his cowboy rubbed rib eye, and so did I. The waitress was so wonderful and so accommodating. What can I say, we will definitely be driving the hour and 10 minutes to have dinner there again soon. Service: Dine in

Nice place, pleasant servers, but I thought that, although the barbecue seasonings were delicious, meats were very dry… brisket should not be dry and hard… maybe try again another time
The prices are average for the restaurant industry, and I have no complaints there—especially since the food is well worth every penny. The atmosphere resembles that of an old hotel with a vintage, country Americana vibe, and it was spotless, which made it very comfortable and enjoyable! Now, let’s talk about the food… the menu offers a fantastic range of options, and we tried quite a few dishes while leaving many more for future visits. We sampled fried mozzarella, wings, French onion soup, and steak and potato empanadas to share, while I ordered the smokehouse meatloaf with red beets and mac and cheese. I even tasted bits of my companions’ meals at the table, and all I can say is wow! When everything you try is delicious and there's not a single disappointing dish, you know you’ve found a great spot! I also learned that they pickle their own red beets, and they were just perfect! The smokiness of both the wings and the meatloaf was spot on, and I can confidently say it’s the best meatloaf I’ve ever had. After this visit, I'm eagerly looking forward to returning because the drive is absolutely worth it, and I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone! A big thank you to all the staff and the owner for making the Point Phillips Hotel my favorite independent restaurant!
Excellent food. Went on a Thursday for the Butnt Ends. They were fabulous as well as the sides. Nice selection of craft beers.
I'd never been here and friends I was visiting had arranged to meet other friends here for one of my nights in the area we were a party of 6. I'm typically not a fan of BBQ. Just not my thing. But I also did not want to disrupt previously made plans. In the end, if all BBQ was like this place, I'd likely enjoy it more often Food was great. Service was friendly and efficient. This place is apparently iconic in the area. It was crazy busy, but the staff kept up and were pleasant and patient. Nice experience.
Keeping in mind my wife and I live in the BBQ belt of Texas, I’m always up for trying new BBQ restaurants, regardless of where they might be located. We were in Bethlehem, PA this past August 2nd when the suggestion of eating here for dinner came up. We were assured that the BBQ at Point Phillips was “really good” and that we will not be disappointed. Frankly, being disappointed would have been an improvement. I ordered the brisket plate, and my wife ordered the rib and chicken combo with the idea of us sharing. All cuts of the meat were very dry and over smoked. I sent my plate back, and to their credit, it was removed from the bill. My wife barely ate any of her ribs and chicken, but she managed to power through it. Frankly, if you have intentions of eating BBQ here, I wouldn’t.

Always delicious .... The smoked wings are delish .... Especially when plain with no sauce ... to appreciate the smoke ....
Our first time here was great! Nothing but downhill from there! We returned again 2 times and one in our party ordered the prime rib special, on both occasions it was RAW and so tuff that you couldn't even cut it with a steak knife. The first return visit we thought well maybe they had an off night, but then on our second return it was just as raw and tuff. I mean really it's prime rib! That's it for us-we won't return. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! We won't let it happen again.
Definitely 5 star rating. Monica, our server, was courteous and attentive. The atmosphere was loud with multiple conversations at the many tables available. The menu is huge and so many tasty choices. I knew I wanted to save room for the flourless chocolate truffle cake so I had to choose wisely. The Dutch Cornbread with jalapeño butter and rosemary salt caught my eye under small bites. I had narrowed down my selection when the Guinness French Onion Soup caught my eye and I knew my choice was made. Completely satisfied I had to get desert to go.
If you didn't know what this place was, you'd miss it. I was recommended to this restaurant by a vendor. Went in with a buddy and ordered the smothered tots, which were a great app to share between the two of us. Very heavy on toppings, cooked perfect. He ordered the wings and said they were nice and fresh. He worked in a chicken shop for a few years and is a huge critic of his chicken, so to impress him was surprising. I had the cajun penne alfredo pasta, and it was top notch. We sat at the bar and were heavily taken care of without a hitch. The drinks were great, and it was a nice place to eat and drink after a day of work. So, long story short if you see this review, try this place out, it looks like a large white house on the corner, but once you get inside, you'll be very happy you stopped.

Vintage hotel with a variety of dishes on the menu. The tough shrimp was delicious, just the right amount of heat. Smothered dider dead had a lot of taste. Wings tasty and juicy not greasy. Salmon was perfectly cooked. Salad was crisp and fresh. The next day had to go with the peach bread pudding for dessert. I'm worried to go back and try some of the other dishes!! To add our dinner, I had a lemon drop Martini. Only if you like tart, but it was good. This could be our next place. Thank you for making our experience pleasant. Only the problem I can see is the parking lot. Need better parking and you need reservations!
The food is very well prepared, I had the triple sample ribs, brisket, sausage and two sides). We're here and come back! The staff is very accommodating!!
LIBBY ROCKS! Only discovered this restaurant and could not wait to visit this Tuesday in April 2022 because, although the dining room was busy, the pleasant hostesses, Becca Lana, told us we were lucky with a cozy stand back at the bar. Then Libby appeared as our server with its appealing personality and helpful setting. We ordered Bang Bang Shrimps with sauce on page 8.99) for appetizer. My entree of Faroe Island Pecan encrusts salmon with a sweet sauce was cooked exactly right, but the sauce on the side will order as it overshadowed the delicate taste of fish. Accompanied by loaded baking potatoes Charge of 1.99) and this huge side salad of the spring mix, red onion, crumbles, cucumbers, grape tomatoes and shredded cheese. Topped with her bacon dressing. Oh, my! My hubs ordered the semi-regal ribs, the mixed green salad with a serving of this fantastic Mac cheese. Really good. 19.99) Couple cups of birch beer 2.25) and very satisfied with every bite! Cudes to the kitchen staff to serve delicious, comfort food!
I've been going to Point Phillips Hotel for several years now, and even though I never had any problems it has managed to get consistently better. Food is top-notch while still being rustic and not being pretentious. Dishes are well-designed, cooked properly, and very flavorful. The menu changes fairly regularly in addition to daily and weekly specials, and they continually are adding better and better options. I smoke my own meats, but when I don't have time or energy, Point Phillips Hotel passes me standards for BBQ quality. Pricing on food is remarkably good considering the quality. The bar is run just as well as the kitchen. Beer selection is decent, but cocktails and martinis especially are excellent. The only downside is that, for the reasons mentioned above, it is extremely busy. Saturday and Sunday afternoons, or late-ish Tuesday and Wednesday seem to be the only times you can go without a reservation. Otherwise, you need to make reservations a week or two out. But it's worth it.

Best smokehouse in LV. Great service with the burned ends especially to die. I recommend this hidden jewel to everyone.
Let me tell you about Friday night trip to the Point Phillips Hotel, and this is directed to bad administration and property. We had met two more couples at your hotel for dinner, no reservations, so we waited for a table. We ordered our dinners, ate and rejoiced to talk. While we sit at the table, another customer approached our table and said I see you don't spend more money and ask us to go because they wait. I told him we had to wait for a table when we arrived and that we would come together twice a year for dinner. He said he didn't want to be rude, but wanted the table. This shows a bad management on your side, even the possibility or promotion of customers to interrupt other people. All 3 couples are area people, in miles from your hotel. We'll never apply your restaurant again. On one side, the reason we met tonight was that one of the members announced that he said he had a terminal disease and probably remembered that it was in a public environment. As an area of people I will make it a point to not recommend your restaurant to everyone.
First time I had the pulled pork sandwich and cole slaw and ff, the second time the crab cakes platter and both times everything was excellent.
