Point Phillips Hotel serves smoky, freshly made BBQ in a rustic vintage‑hotel setting that feels like a local hidden gem. Generous portions, standout sauces, cornbread and desserts complement wings, meatloaf and sampler platters. Service is frequently friendly and efficient, though the house gets very busy—reservations are recommended—and guests report occasional slow service, rushed bar seating and inconsistent doneness on some meats. The warm, cozy atmosphere and well-priced hearty menu make it worth the drive for groups, families and BBQ lovers.

What Darrell J dislikes about Po:
Keeping in mind my wife and I live in the BBQ belt of Texas, I’m always up for trying new BBQ restaurants, regardless of where they might be located. We were in Bethlehem, PA this past August 2nd when the suggestion of eating here for dinner came up. We were assured that the BBQ at Point Phillips was “really good” and that we will not be disappointed. Frankly, being disappointed would have been an improvement. I orde... View all feedback.

We were referred by the Fibert B&B to have dinner here, and the food at this restaurant was so good that my husband savored every bite of his cowboy rubbed rib eye, and so did I. The waitress was so wonderful and so accommodating. What can I say, we will definitely be driving the hour and 10 minutes to have dinner there again soon. Service: Dine in

We've been going to Point Phillips Hotel since it opened, used to live 3 minutes away and now we live about 27 minutes away but still try to get there as much as possible... They have an on-site smokehouse and everything that comes out of it is amazingly delicious. They have their own brand of beer which is similar to a Yuengling lager. There is a kid's menu which is not just your rubber stamp children's food, there are dishes that are just like the adult dishes in children's portions... Speaking of portions the portion sizes are incredible especially on the pulled meats. I've never come here that I didn't take a box home for lunch the next day! The wait staff are friendly and Well trained. The atmosphere is historical to the hotel a lot of the decorations and artifacts are from the actual period or original to the building. There is a small fireplace in the first dining room which makes for a cozy romantic dinner for two. Overall one of our favorite spots!!
