Pizza King - Batesville

Food was good, but my favorite is no longer available. Had no chips n Dill Pickles with the order as before.

PIZZA is the best PIZZA! that started in my childhood in a small town in Indiana. I was tied to Stromboli at a young age and then we moved away and I never had to eat it again. We drive about an hour or more out of town to get something from this pizza. The pepperoni is a MUST. They also have tacos and Mt. Dew. Everything here is absolutely delicious every time we visit. First review in awhile, so it could be a long time so that I summarize in front: Just a fantastic experience!! Food and service were on site. Thank you to Sharon the Manager, Christina der Server/cashier Alexis der Koch for their delicious creations. So. The details. As many people already know, it is sometimes difficult to find even a place whose dining room is open, it doesn’t matter whether it’s fast food or “fine dining room”, lack of personnel and food cost increases have made food from a challenge. I checked for a little while just because in every fairness many facilities just try to keep their head over water. With that said I will not lower the bar I just say that this pizza king puts the bar very high for any facility in the Batesville area or abroad. Including many other Pizza King’s I was in the middle of Indiana... it was Top Notch. Here is the really important detail, it was not just me and one or two guests, it was a group of 30! Our high school swimming team floated in East Central HS for their annual relay meeting. As a tradition, the team always stops somewhere to eat and connect as a group after the event. Covid made it challenging last year, so unfortunately we had to decide so that this year we made calls in advance and unfortunately many other companies believed that they were not enough staff to provide a good service. It is sad to hear from other companies and we wish them the best, but it was a blessing in disguise because this experience was wonderful. Patience goes both ways, especially for school children, but the staff has done a great job with some complex special jobs. Each pizza, bread stick, cheese bread, pasta plate and sandwich was made perfectly. They asked the group what they thought they were amazed at how quickly their food was made and how delicious it was. So get back to Alexis, Christina and Sharon. They made an annual tradition alive again, and put the bar high for other places in the coming years, and based on this experience I am sure we are back!
