Was Paul B at Ccooks a mag?
We had a nice meal starting with cocktails an entree of crab cakes that were beautiful and we shared a seafood platter which was great value at $79. Wine list was pretty good and desert menu was good as well View all feedback.

What Nil Cornejo dislikes about Ccooks:
A (very) basic continental breakfast was included in the room price, this was pretty average, but OK.We also had dinner one evening here and were very disappointed - the waitress forgot our drinks order and we had to find her to ask for them to be served. I had fish and chips which only OK, and my wife had grilled fillet of salmon which was served raw - we sent it a k and the comment from the waiter was 'You want it... View all feedback.

Family dinner, staff couldn't do enough for us attentive, efficient, friendly. No lengthy waits for meals, or drinks, food was spot on steaks melt in your mouth and cooked exactly to request, passion fruit cheese cake could be served in heaven all in all close to perfect experience highly recommend dining there.

I had fish and chips which only OK, and my wife had grilled fillet of salmon which was served raw - we sent it a k and the comment from the waiter was 'You want it well cooked?' to which the answer is 'No we just want it properly cooked' , in the event it arrived back at our table extremely over cooked. Our advice is find somewhere else to eat.

The chef tried hard in a small kitchen. The food was fresh, delicious and well presented. A memorable meal and a lovely menu. Wait staff were charming.

The oddly named Ccooks Restaurant is part of the Corrigans Resort. We were looking for somewhere nicer than bistro schnitzels, and the pleasant location overlooking the resort pool and the beachside park beyond promised potential. After initial confusion with two different menus, (I was told to ignore the one on the back of the basic drinks list, they were just recycling), it was difficult to choose due to lack of information. My wife chose 'Bay to Bush' after being told it was a Rib Eye with prawns and vegetables, and I had to guess what spices or flavours were in a 'Moroccan Lamb Salad' (not much as it turned out). A total description of 3 or 4 words is not enough to make a dining decision on.A big choice of 'one' was my cider options, but not the one on the drinks list, they only had the ubiquitous Strongbow - but that sufficed. However just plonking the bottle on the table is not good enough in a restaurant. I am happy to drink out of the bottle in a pub or club, but expect a glass to at least be offered at a restaurant.A half hour after ordering before any food arrives is not a hangable offence, but when the herb bread starter arrives WITH the mixed dozen oyster entree...that's poor service. Then when those courses are finished and we are immediately asked if we are ready for our mains - code that they are already prepared, we are feeling rushed but don't want our food drying out under the warming lights in the kitchen. The mains came out immediately, confirming our concerns. Not sure how long the food had been sitting there, but my lamb was barely warm, although my wife's rib-eye was hot, but her chips were close to cold. Her prawn sauce was lovely and the vegetables she was craving were very nice however. Not sure what was Moroccan about my dish, certainly not flavours. The accompanying salad was quite nice although a little oily, but the nicely cooked lamb was devoid of anything but lamb flavour.A nice location and potential are not enough for me to recommend Ccooks, there are other options.

If you're someone who prefers a hearty meal with a touch of flair over nouvelle cuisine, then this place is perfect for you. We visited two nights in a row and were thoroughly impressed with the reasonably priced wine and food. Highly recommend it.

This restaurant has superb, beautiful decor and friendly staff. The food was fantastic, with a lovely menu. The mushrooms were excellent, as well as the chicken stuffed with crab and fillet mignon. Thank you so much, Tania Terlick.

The steak I ordered was cooked to order but so tough that I couldn't eat it and it was medium rare. Other food was presented well and quite nice. Maybe they should stick to seafood!

We have eaten at Corrigans twice in the last 3 weeks. The new menu with local seafood is fantastic. The crab croquettes appetizer is to die for, and the local fish fingers are delicious. For our main courses, we had a beautifully presented rib eye one night and prosciutto-wrapped chicken the other night, both were amazing. You can taste the freshness of the local seafood and the chef's care in every dish. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning soon.
