Piney Creek Lounge - Bastrop

My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at PCCH last night and thought it was wonderful. Great food and atmosphere. Will definitely return.

We started our visit with moderate expectations and were pleasantly surprised! We ordered the Ribeye and Filet Mignon, both cooked to perfection and comparable to renowned steakhouses. The service was exceptional, and the wine prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back!

We were often here and never had a bad experience. The best steak we had in the 9 years in the area. We always have a nice time and often take friends with us. It is our go-to restaurant when we come from the city guests or go for a special occasion. Excellent food, wonderful staff, excellent restaurant. The Lobster Bisque is incredible!

In a historic building in the city centre, Piney Creek offers a stylish culinary experience with Texas ambience and charm. The menu is simple, and while relatively expensive, the food is excellent. The servers pay great attention to you, but are also intuitive to the purpose of the evening and offer you the opportunity to enjoy your evening while still receiving excellent service. This is a very nice culinary experience.

We had a socially-distanced table and our server, Leroy, went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal and received everything we needed. My husband ordered the lamb chops, which he said were cooked to perfection. I had a steak, and it was also cooked exactly how I like it—I’m very particular about my steak’s doneness. I also tried the crab macaroni and cheese, which was absolutely delicious. We started with a Caesar salad that featured authentic, tangy dressing—very tasty! To top it off, we enjoyed a lovely bottle of Cabernet and white chocolate cheesecake for dessert. It was delightful! My only small criticism is that, as a steakhouse, they didn’t have baked potatoes, which I was really hoping for. Despite that, I highly recommend this restaurant!
