Bastiano's - Bastrop
Bastiano's
Description
Bastiano's Italian Restaurant offers a mixed dining experience, where enthusiastic service meets varying culinary results. While some dishes, such as the Caesar salad and Margherita pizza, receive high praise for freshness and flavor, others, notably the overly sauced pasta and undercooked shrimp, leave diners disappointed. The restaurant's familial atmosphere shines through in its attentive service, although staffing challenges may lead to delays. Many guests appreciate the generous portions and reasonable prices, while others express frustration over past closures and inconsistent experiences. Overall, Bastiano's remains a beloved local spot, especially for those seeking hearty Italian comfort food and homemade gelato.

We had a fantastic meal at Bastiano's, thanks to Chris! Four years later and the food is still amazing!
The pizza calzones at this restaurant in Bastrop, TX are definitely the best around. Everything was fantastic.
I absolutely loved this charming restaurant! It has a cozy, homey atmosphere and is family-owned, which I really appreciate. The pepperoni pizza I ordered was absolutely delicious, but I wasn't a big fan of the smores pizza due to the texture of the marshmallows. However, I'm sure others will enjoy it. Keep in mind that this isn't fast food - everything is handmade, so be prepared to relax and enjoy the process of your meal being prepared. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
I will not be back. I ordered the bread sticks, Greek salad, and creamy garlic bowtie pasta with chicken. The salad was fresh. The bread sticks were average. The entree was a very large portion of mostly pasta and what tasted like a cheap garlic cream sauce from a can. The chicken amounted to about one half of a chicken breast or one chicken tenderloin. The flavor of the chicken was so-so. There was one waitress for all tables and she was slow and blase. Perhaps the pizzas are better.
