The Sunday roast stands out for its perfection, featuring tender meat and fresh vegetables that consistently impress diners. However, some guests have reported disappointing meals, with overcooked steaks and lackluster service during busier nights. While the establishment adheres to stringent COVID safety measures, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, inconsistent food quality has led some first-time visitors to hesitate about returning. Despite these mixed reviews, many patrons appreciate the friendly staff and cleanliness, leaving room for potential recommendations and return visits in the future.
We had a lovely meal last night with a warm welcome and excellent service. The rooms at the sister pub were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very good.
We loved the excellent choice washed with a pretty nice sancerre and for our friend a bottle amarone great attentive service we will keep back thanks the great work
Three of us were in the nearby angel inn and we decided to have a meal in the white horse. the pub is very cozy, with log fires. the owners are very friendly and friendly. that we had was delicious. we had the mixed seafood plate and the scallops. after dessert. would recommend
We visited last night with our daughter and our son in the law. the ales to the draft were well kept. the food was enormous. Many thanks to all the staff who made us so welcome. we will return.
Visited yesterday for Sunday roast, terrible food, the food was just warm, clearly just sat in the kitchen and plated up once ordered. We did complain and got desserts taken off the bill, was a shame as my father was treating us and was first...meal out after lockdown. Will not be visiting again.
