We arrived at the lockkeeper today for a meal was greeted by Laura with a lovely smile and a lovely pleasant attitude showed us to our seats and asked if we wan... read more We arrived at the lockkeeper today for a meal was greeted by Laura with a lovely smile and a lovely pleasant attitude showed us to our seats and asked if we wanted a drink and took our food order nothing was to much trouble our food arrived very quick was lovely and hot was absolutely amazing had a lovely chat with zoe and laura asking if everthing was ok we had a lovely pudding was brilliant service lovely atmosphere and good value for money you hq e a fantastic team working for you and nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff always abliged to help thank you again for a lovely meal and will definitely be happy to come again .

The rest... read more We find a free table in a busy area, I asked for it to be cleaned. Debris removed, then wiped one area ‘that’s your bit’ then another ‘there you are’. The rest left dirty unbelievable. The carvery was disappointing. Dried peas, inedible sprouts and parsnips, mash burned to the bottom of the bowl and no sauces. A disappointing experience except for the drinks which were good.

Staff were incredibly helpful and wend out of their way to cater for our needs (allergies and questions relating to the hotel). Food was excellent and good value for money.

The checking in process was really easy and the reception/bar team were friendly and efficient. While checking in, I also made an enquiry about booking a table for dinner that evening and the reception staff dealt with that for me. Overall a really good level of customer service by all staff I came into contact with during my stay.
