Pleased to see Matthew back! Lovely atmosphere with very festive Dickensian Christmas decorations, warm and welcoming. The food was exceptionally well presented and everything was cooked and prepared well. After the meal the adults were given a decorated bottle of home made licqueur and the children were given boxed fudge, what a lovely finish to a very enjoyable experience. First class.

I went to Iron Duke for little snack and had the most delicious mussels! They were perfectly cooked with scrumpy garlic herb bread- thank you Natalia. Sandra was the hostess with the mostess, warm friendly smile. Will definitely be back!

Excellent sunday lunch though only one type of meat available. Plenty of gravy. Good vegetarian burger too. Not cheap but good quality and good service.

Came across this lovely pub when driving between Reading and Basingstoke. Best hospitality I've received in a long time. We arrived before it had opened for lunch and were just about to leave when we were greeted by the landlady, so we decided to stay for coffee and then lunch. Coffee was great with some lovely chocolate and lunch comprised of some ginormous scooby-snack sandwiches, made with top quality ingredients. Chips and salad was also provided. The sandwiches weren't on the menu but they were happy to accommodate us.
