terrible service. for their customers it doesn't matter. we have booked for a table in advance, then a few days before the event they tell us that they cannot give us the table. ruined our plans, they are not taking care, do not offer a solution and now. we are French trying to sort something. absolutely terrible. read moreNestled on the outskirts, The Royal Oak is celebrated for its welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, making it a favored local pub. Patrons rave about the tasty food and diverse drink selection, especially the customizable burgers and fine craft beer. The establishment transforms into a lively venue for live music, drawing in both locals and visitors alike. However, some guests have reported inconsistent service, with issues regarding reservations and interactions with management. Despite these criticisms, the overall charm and camaraderie found at The Royal Oak ensure it remains a beloved hub for the community.
Went for breakfast with son and daughter in law really nice food at a very fair price
Haven't been here for years. Great old fashioned pub.
Quiet afternoon dust buster. No draft ales but a good choice of bottled ale and loads of choice of lagers
The restaurant appears dated and worn out, and the prices are extremely high.
The table was dirty and the bar staff seemed more interested in chatting with regulars than serving you. This is not a pub I would recommend.
