What Wellpastit doesn't like about Bourne Valley Inn:
Sunday lunch is often the measure of a pubs food offering and the menu here has plenty of promise. The reality however was far from the mark. Mains were ridiculously over generous, made worse by the fact that items were cold or barely warm. This restaurant is a pleasant setting for a Sunday lunch. The roast potatoes were inconsistent in quality. The cheese platter for dessert was underwhelming and overpriced for the small portion size. The staff were friendly and hospitable. I would rate the service a 3 out of 5 and the location a 4 out of 5. The highlight of the restaurant is its peaceful ambiance.
The room was just okay, but it felt cold and a little damp. The ceramic tiled floor didn't help with the comfort level. With a few improvements, it could be a much better experience. Overall rating: Rooms - 3, Service - 4, Location - 5.
We only had lunch at this restaurant and had a terrible experience. The service was very poor and the dishes were unappetizing. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in 50 years. The location was the only redeeming quality, receiving a 5 out of 10.

Popped in for Sunday lunch! Food was delicious! Beef and the pork was done perfectly! Plenty of veg. And the portions were very generous. Plenty of food and drink options And the Bourne Valley Inn was a beautiful place, very rustic! With plenty of country charm. Staff was very helpful. And dogs are welcome.
