Hidden gem. Discovered 9 years ago when on vacation. Made a point to go back and will again. It's that good.
I absolutely love my local eatery and bar! They serve the BEST huevos rancheros around—definitely order them with the red sauce! The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are just right. Just a heads up, they only accept cash and local checks, but there's an ATM inside.
This charming little spot is a true gem, especially if you enjoy the cozy atmosphere of a small-town cafe. Make sure to bring cash, as they don't accept cards. The bread pudding here is the best you'll ever taste!
The locals were friendly and welcoming. It's a relatively historic spot, and I'm happy to see it thriving. If you visit, be sure to check out the 1800s jail located at the back of the building. I might come back in August!
Happy to add another 5 star review for The Silver Saddle Restaurant in beautiful downtown Basin! For the last few months we have been meeting with some friends from Butte to plan an upcoming event. The Silver Saddle is the perfect half way stop. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, the staff is super attentive and friendly! They have a little back room that is perfect to accommodate our group of 8-10 people and even allowed us to reserve that space ahead of time! Very impressed with the Silver Saddle Restaurant! I highly recommend a stop if you are traveling through! They are a great example of small town Montana hospitality!!
