Both the f... read more I recently enjoyed some of the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. The use of groundnut oil in the cooking process really made a difference. Both the fish and chips were cooked perfectly - the fish was flavorful and tender, and the chips were crispy and delicious. The service was also excellent.

This is the first time I have been to the Codfather since restrictions have been lifted and I was disappointed to find that non of the staff either preparing fo... read more This is the first time I have been to the Codfather since restrictions have been lifted and I was disappointed to find that non of the staff either preparing food or serving had any face covering. Whilst I understand that face covering is not mandatory it is a guidance requirement and I found that I was the only person in the shop with a face covering. It does not help others to consider wearing a face covering when the whole team deem it not necessary. Given the increasing infection rate I will not be using the Codfather until such time as infection rates are back under control as I cannot trust the attitude of this business not to be a spreader of the infection.

Chips were nice. Won’t be going back ‍ Meal type: Dinner
