Absolutely hands down the best Turkish in Billericay! Good sized meals, mouth-watering food and a really friendly service! Our favourite is the mixed chicken and lamb kebab, the rice is particularly flavourful and the salad dressing is soooo delicious! Love the variety of foods on...offer, we love the hot prawns, halloumi, olives, and the little extras like dips and warm bread to start and a sweet with the bill. We u... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Menad:
The food here is great, we’ve been coming as a family for years and it was my year old son’s favourite restaurant and his go-to for a birthday treat. However for some reason they have stopped doing kids portions of Turkish food, the only...options for children are burgers, nuggets etc. Shame really because they’ve just lost a whole family’s regular business as we won’t go there anymore because we can get the kids bur... Eddie and staff were exceptionally kind. I recommend the combination lamb and chicken kebab plate. Delicious. The lamb shank was also good.
Celebrated with friends for a 75th Birthday lovely clean comfortable restaurant. Friendly staff and Chef. Food was amazing, best Turkish around. A huge thank you to Jimmy for making this occasion so special for my friend. We had such a wonderful afternoon. Definitely will be back and would definitely recommend Menad to our family and friends.
Dropped in for dinner after getting off the train and not feeling like cooking. So glad we did. Been here a few times but this place feels like it has got better and is cooking some of the best flavoured Turkish food I’ve had in the area. The chicken shish was incredible. It was moist beautifully spiced and the chilli sauce is just on the right side of spicy aromatic flavour to accompany. I’m a massive hummus kavurma fan and won’t have anything else to enjoy with their delicious bread. We had a delightful French Sauvignon and the restaurant was busy with all age groups and group sizes, definitely a sign you are doing something well when you attract such a mixed clientele. All in, a gorgeous 2 courses and a tasty bottle of wine for just over £70, such good value.
Experience at this Turkish restaurant varied greatly, with some customers praising the mouth-watering food and friendly service, while others were severely disappointed in the poor quality and bland taste of their meals, resulting in a decision to not return. Despite inconsistencies in cleanliness and food quality, overall, a majority of visitors were impressed, highlighting fast and friendly service, delicious meals, generous portions, and attentive staff. With a wide variety of options on the menu and a pleasant dining atmosphere, this restaurant seems to have potential for a satisfying dining experience, as long as what you order hits the mark.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, although it could be more affordable. The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is great for a lunch meal. The price per person is around £30-40. Overall, I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a rating of 5 out of 5.
I stopped by for lunch and discovered that the 2-course offer advertised on the website was no longer available (should be updated). However, there was a 25% discount on the main menu items during lunchtime. The food was delicious, featuring traditional Turkish dishes along with some special options. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. Parking can be a challenge as the restaurant is located on a busy junction at the end of Billericay High Street. The best option is to park at the large public car park about halfway down the street and take a short walk to the restaurant. It is also conveniently located near Billericay main line station.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, giving it 5 stars. The food exceeded my expectations, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was calm and enjoyable. My coworkers and I ordered various dishes such as garlic prawns, halloumi, calamari, and tarama for starters, and for the main course we had chicken shish, chicken kulbasti, lamb kulbasti, sarma lamb beyti, and sea bream. For dessert, we enjoyed chocolate flake ice cream. Overall, it was a mouth-watering experience and I highly recommend this place. I will definitely visit again. Thank you.
Surprised by the high rating. Maybe we were unlucky on the day. The falafel were the most bland we've ever tasted. The BBQ'd meats were a little undercooked and again lacked character. The kofta was red in the middle and tasted raw. Not my spice going on. This was disappointing. Chilli sauce was fresh with a lovely kick. The service was excellent. Meal type: Dinner
