Saisonal bekommt man die Zigerkrapfen beim Sutter Begg. Sehr zu empfehlen. Das Verkaufspersonal dürfte ein bisschen freundlicher sein.
Der Kaffi im Sutter ist einmalig schlecht. Ich bin der Meinung man sollte mal die Kaffe Maschine austauschen.
Sensationelle Ziegerkrapfen, welche es dann wieder ab dem 7.12. gibt.Sehr angangierter Service und nettes Personal.
Paniertes Schnitzel mit Nudeln und Parmesan. Nach doch längerer Wartezeit kamen die Nudeln sehr kalt. Beanstandung wurde sachlich angenommen und nach wieder längerer Wartezeit waren die Nudeln dann nicht mehr ganz kühl. Ich habe resigniert. Eine Entschuldigung oder Wiedergutmachungsgeste, die ja wirklich manches wieder gut macht, blieb aus.
We stumbled across this restaurant which was very close to our hotel in Basel. The ladies that worked here spoke very good English. It was a coffee shop and restaurant. We ordered the pre-made sandwiches. I had the salami with a curry type mayonaise and...it was excellent. My husband doesn't like curry so he thought, but he liked my sandwich better than his ham one so the next time we went he too ordered the salami with curry. Delicious and fresh. Great coffee, beer was nice and cold. The ladies here seemed to remember your order from the day before. They have nice little items like chocolate lady bugs and cookies to bring home as gifts. Great salad with little bottles of oil and vinegar and nice Ciabiatta roll. Our friends went for bagels and cream cheese two mornings in a row and the staff remembered their orders. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are staying in this area of Basel. Very close to the tram/bus drop off.

Very disappointed in how we were treated by the staff. The man behind the counter took my salad out of the box and put it in a bowl without asking me. When I asked if I could have the box back because I intended to take it to go, he scoffed, started slamming my things down and speaking angrily about me to his coworker. They said they’d already thrown the box away and couldn’t give it to me. Trying to figure out a way to take my salad to go, I saw the muesli I’d ordered and asked before they put it away if I could keep that container to put my salad in. They refused and put my muesli in a bowl and threw out the box. At no point were we rude, we made our best attempts to be flexible given the misunderstanding, and still we were treated really poorly. I live in the Gundeli and I want to go out for a coffee and piece of cake the I go to this cafe. Good service, coffee and choice of cakes. It is possible to sit inside or out. Prices are reasonable and the the cakes are tasty Price per person: CHF 1–10 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
