Ristorante La Vela - Basel

You certainly want to know, why I would visit a place that I don't like too much. The reason is that a friend of mine who is not exactly a foody loves to go there he actually insists going there. Last time we were there the owner totally ripped us off. It was a disgrace. The food was from a qualitative standpoint not too far from a kebab house and the Pizza was average too. Actually I wished we had gone for a simple kebab, as this would have been at once much cheaper and more delicious. I felt betrayed for my money but the place is well visited because it's a family business and at least the service was good. Nevertheless, this is hardly to place to go if you insist on quality of food. For that price there are much better alternatives. Oh and I don't like fraud and I can make difference between raw materials, provenience and the way it has to be prepared. Since it happened at least three times now, I must give that a place a bad review.

The food was excellent, as well as the service which were very kind and welcoming. You will always feel at ease and leave with your belly full.

Sehr angenehm und zuvorkommend. das Mittagsmenü mit Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Dessert war sehr richtig. die suppe war hausgemacht und wurde mit einem sehr guten brot serviert. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen. ä guetä.

Wir hatten einen Familienstart mit mehr als 12 Personen und es war einfach großartig. dank des la vela Teams
