Excellent and authentic vietnamese food! We had Hue soup and Fish soup (both exactly like you would expect them to be served in Vietnam) and a great Chicken salad as starter. I still like this little restaurant. It's friendly and the food is mostly good and the price is reasonable. A bit of a problem, however, is that they now have a buffet - which is great if you have a big hunger, but not so good if you like some variety. Every day - day after day, week after week - nearly always the same dishes. And if you come a later on, some dishes have run out, limiting the choice even more! They no longer have à la carte at lunch time, which means the choice is really limited. In short: still good, but not for a regular visit.
The feel is very friendly, the restaurant is spotless and it is just a short walk from Aeschenplatz. On top of this, every dish I've tried so far is delicious. My personal recommendation is the Vietnamese Crepe - a crispy omlette, soft on the inside, brimming with asian herbs and fresh vegetables with seafood as an option. Great value and a refreshing change.
The food has an authentic Vietnamese taste, with a good variety and choice. The Pho was great, I had the duck pho.It was clean and the service was friendly.Lunch take away fro the buffet tasted great and was a great value for the money Within 5 minutes walking from the tram stop.I can highly recommend it

A friendly little gem of a restaurant on the Hardstrasse in the Gellert serving genuine Vietnamese food. I've been several times and the food is consistently good. If you go for lunch in the week there is a small choice of dishes (with soup or spring rolls and a drink included) at a very reasonable price. At other times there is a long à la carte menu where you are bound to find something interesting and tasty (also reasonably priced).Normally, you are served by the manageress who is very amiable and always willing to advise and help you make your choice. The cook also usually appears at some stage to check that you have enjoyed your meal. The atmosphere is good - especially since the whole of the interior was redecorated a few months ago. Weather permitting, you can also sit outside - but, take care - places are limited and it can get quite full. Unfortunately, the outside seating can get a little noisy from the road works (which seem to be a permanent feature of the adjacent roads).Summary: excellent value, good food and friendly service - and a bit of a change from the usual Chinese and Thai restaurants.
