My friend, when one of the ge... read more We were 6 Americans, admittedly a bit loud- AT FIRST. We realized we were bothering the couple to the right to us and piped down . My friend, when one of the gentlemen got up , said “Sorry!” and the guy said” Americans suck”. The...waiter and the guys at the the table to the left saw all this. The waiter tried to apoligize we had totally stopped talking at this point) . We insisted on paying for the people on our lefts dinner and the restaurant comped it instead. Those people were amazed the other couple was upset. The food was so great. We had mussels, pasta, salmon, veal... all the dishes and loved them all. We also loved that they cared that we cared that people were offended and they thought it was outrageous. No excuses for being loud, but kudos to them for handling situation. Wine 10/10.

If you don't want to go to one of the super high priced restaurants in Basel but still want an amazing meal, come here.We went for our anniversary and couldn't be more pleased. The risotto was especially great. Will return, absolutely.
