This restaurant is stuck in the past, when there was nothing like this in Basel. In the meanwhile, the offer around is hughe and much better than the dry breads served in this place. Location is good. Food mediocre. Prices too high. View all feedback.

It was wonderful in the 80es and still is. Cozy place, great variety of small sandwich breads with different delicious toppings to choose from, reasonable price. It is bar and restaurant. Like in the nordics there is also a section where you can sit and watch out to the street. My favorites are the fire bread (füürbrötli) thins with paprika or raw tartare meat or thins with onions on top but veggie and crevèttes fish options are available too.
