The setting is really nice, immersed in the woods near Barzio. The structure is very clean and the smell is amazing inside. Everything is wooden and seems more... read more The setting is really nice, immersed in the woods near Barzio. The structure is very clean and the smell is amazing inside. Everything is wooden and seems more similar to Alto Adige than Lombardia. The starters were really, really nice. They bring you a lot of different things, including some cold meats, bruschettine, potato salad, flans etc. The selection is really varied and the quality is great. The bread and crackers are very nice too. Unfortunately after less than 10 minutes of finishing all of these starters the first courses arrived. It was just too soon. The portions were also quite reduced but in that moment I wasn't bothered as I was so full. The lasagne was nice but not anywhere near as nice as the starters. We had a dessert after...my husband took panna cotta which wasn't bad but the consistency wasn't perfect. I took the chocolate triumph which was slightly dry but nice with the cream and icecream. We also felt the wine list was a little limited. Overall we had a very pleasant evening but felt it was a bit rushed. The service was professional and courteous in any case and we'd like to come back again.
