Contribute FeedbackOn a Sunday we stayed in Baruth and had originally taken another place to eat. It was not possible, and my companion noticed that after long years we wanted to return to the forest. So we drove from Baruth to Klasdorf a few kilometers away. If you arrive by train to the Waldschlößchen, get off at the stop Klasdorf and are right in front of the restaurant. For visitors by car there is a large parking lot next to the restaurant. It lies directly on the B96. The street noise was not disturbed. In the beautiful weather we found on the terrace. A friendly service immediately brought the tickets. Traditional German cuisine was offered. Not too extensive, a real offer. Two more dishes were on an extra board. I had the wild roasts in my eye and asked what wild varieties are offered. “Rehbraten” was the answer. He was ordered. My companion took the pepper steak; a pork steak with coarse pepper and mushrooms, and there were frits. On my plate there was a lot of wild, with red cabbage and two clubs. Both dishes were extensive and delicious. For dessert coffee and cake. I had seen the delicious ice cups that came to the side tables, only there was no place after the main dish. Apple cake with wrinkles from the leaf was offered and ordered. He was tasty, should have been a little fresher (or at least warmed). The coffee was tidy. On the terrace, which takes a few steps, we sat very relaxed and let us go well. The interiors are accessible from the terrace. Half a staircase goes to the toilets. The Waldschlößchen is also a pension. Details can be taken from the website. Overall, we can recommend a visit to the Waldschlößchen when you come by.
The “Waldschlößchen” lies so lonely on the local beach of Klasdorf and is so conveniently located directly on the B 96 federal road between Baruth and Golßen and on the Klasdorfer Bahnlinie Berlin Dresden. The forest has over 100 years of history. It was opened in 1894, even under the name “Waldschlößchen”. World War II was the end of the inn. It was closed since 1945 and used as a residential house. Only after the turn, the current owners opened the “Waldschlößchen” as a restaurant and pension. In addition to the rooms in the house you can also sit on the terrace or in the garden in the warm season. When you enter the house, you get some time. Although everything is renovated and beautifully decorated, the old house has a little fascinated the feeling of the past, which should not be negative now. The greeting was, as always, beautiful and friendly. The map came immediately. The selection is not luxurious but completely sufficient: salads 3,90 – 7,60 €uro, soups daily, appetizers 3,50 – 5,20 €uro; other baked spices and baked camembert, fish 10,20 – 10,90 €uro; Redfish, salmon, trout, wild 11,10 11,50 €uro; Harepot and wild roasts, whose wild roast is usually only on the target of hunters. the offer is complemented by ice; Dessert and cake. I chose wild roast in red wine sauce with red cabbage and lumps for 11,50 €uro. Since the hunter had just walked a wild boar in front of the Flinte, the wild boar consisted of wild boar. The waiting time moved within the normal frame. The part was ok, 3 slices of frittier, 2 pieces, red cabbage could have been quieter for me as a passionate red coal, plus a bit of salad decoration. It tasted good when the meat was dry. Certainly not a star cuisine, but a solid and tasty home cooking or what you call so kind-bourgeois. On the recommendation of the host “Hat my mother only freshly baked” I could add a piece of pancake for € 1.80 – tasty – and a cup of coffee € 1.50uro. Conclusion: A highly recommended restaurant. Those who want to visit the Wildpark Johannismühle and/or the Museumsdorf Glashütte should definitely plan a return to the “Waldschlößchen”, not least because the gastronomy in the Wildpark is only a SB snack and the inn in Glashütte is more expensive and much fuller.
