Excellent location very quiet spot and no main road nearby. The hotel is very nice indeed with staff to match. The menu offerings for the bar is short but outstanding quality and there is a signature chef on site some days for a those requiring a taste of the art of food. Breakfast was excellent. The rooms are very well presented indeed and I would recommend a stay Service: 5
What an amazing find! I’ve been living in the Lakes for over 10 years and never been to this amazing restaurant before it’s like it’s a secret. A stunning setting with a romantic view over the lake and fine dining to go with it. The dishes were exciting and interesting my favourite being the beef fillet with the scallops a close second one of which we cooked at the table! The strawberry dessert was incredible but even better than the location and food was the very impressive table service thank you to the whole team for making our dinner so special. Service: 5
The hotel was very picturesque and had vintage interior which me and my wife loved. A pleasant stay overall, perfectly located by the lake and all the staff were very friendly. With regards to food, we enjoyed the lunch menu, salad was perfectly seasoned and complimented the sandwiches we ordered, although we felt that dinner options were quite limited and overpriced. There also was not any local food in the area besides the hotel restaurant itself, which meant we had to settle with whatever the hotel offered. Overall, great experience and we had lovely memories of our stay : Service: 5
We had am amazing stay at the Haweswater, had a top floor lake view room which was absolutely beautiful. The room, Whelter Crag, was spacious, luxurious with a very comfortable bed and incredible views. We ate in both the bar and the restaurant and the food in both was great. Nohing too much trouble for the staff. It was a full on immersion back to the 1930’s and a very luxurious welcome break, cant wait to return. Expensive bit worth it! Service: 5
