What User dislikes about Haweswater:
Beautiful area and very remote. The hotel was pleasant enough, could do with a bit of paint here and there. We had a suite with a lake view which was stunning, however the bathroom in our suite needed repair. Their was a Beautiful bath in there which couldn't be used due to the waste not working and the toilet constantly ran with water which was annoying when trying to go to sleep. The most annoying thing was the con... View all feedback.

We had a wonderful evening at the Haweswater Hotel. Our room was cozy and well-appointed, the food was delightful, and the location was perfect for a secluded getaway. The staff were all very friendly, especially the woman who served us breakfast (unfortunately, I didn't catch her name) - she was charming and had a fantastic sense of humor. Additionally, we appreciated that the hotel is dog-friendly. Overall, we give the rooms a rating of 5.

This charming hotel is perfect for a relaxing retreat. It has a unique charm with cozy bedrooms, a beautiful drawing room, and inviting fires. The hotel is also very accommodating to dogs. The Dinner, Bed, Breakfast package is great value for money. The fillet steak was absolutely delicious. Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 5

This restaurant is truly exceptional. It is a hidden gem, located in a private and secluded spot off the grid. We only stayed for one night, but we enjoyed afternoon tea in the main room with a Christmas tree, as well as dinner and breakfast in the brasserie. The staff were all lovely and unpretentious, making our experience perfect. The rooms were beautifully decorated in art deco style, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. The views were breathtaking. The food and drinks menu was small but perfect, and both the dinner and breakfast options suited our taste.

We have stayed quite a few times in the last ten years and seen a number of changes some that worked and some that didn’t. We were delighted with our room and all staff on this trip were amazing, friendly and helpful. It was nice to be able to have another option to choose from in the Mark Greenaway restaurant rather than just the taster menus, which are amazing but if your staying for two nights or more it’s nice to have other options and also the return of beers on tap. Thank you for another fabulous stay and looking forward to the next one. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet
