The staff was very helpful at check-in. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the handicap unit is not for handicaps. I had a wonderful experience during my visit! It all began with the beautiful and friendly receptionist, Nicole. She was exceptionally polite, courteous, and helpful—truly a shining example of perfect customer service, in my opinion. My hotel room felt like a five-star accommodation, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I give two thumbs up to Nicole, the staff, and the owners for their outstanding service, maintenance, and overall quality.
The room was lovely—clean and cozy. However, we encountered a significant issue in the morning when we went down for breakfast... only to find there was none available! This was quite odd. There was plenty of space set up for food, but nothing was actually offered, not even cake or toast. Additionally, the pool was advertised, but it was not only closed; it was completely empty of water. We only saw three staff members during our stay, as if they had cut back on kitchen staff for some reason. It all felt very strange. The receptionist was pleasant enough, but she couldn’t quite explain what was going on, which only added to the odd atmosphere. It was June, very hot, with no pool available, a lack of customers, and very few employees around. Come on, Ramada, you can do better than this. It's damaging to your reputation.
The hotel was undergoing renovations, which explained the lower rates compared to other hotels. Unfortunately, there was no breakfast offered, and the pool was unavailable for use. The rooms felt quite outdated, and the carpets appeared dirty. However, I understand that improvements are in progress.
The staff was very helpful at check-in. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the handicap unit is not for handicaps. The shower should not have a high side on it so that you need to lift your leg to board. The bed was so high that my 90-year-old parents couldn't come to bed. The maintenance man had to make a switching box for one step, and he brought a step stool to straighten something. He worked hard and the counter-holder also helped to strengthen the box so that it would not collapse. They were wonderful, but the experience was not great and stressful.
The lobby looked great, and the breakfast was very enjoyable. However, the room was old and the bathroom was pretty much falling apart. We were only staying one night, so we didn't cause a fuss, but they need some much improvement.
