I attended a live music event and should have been warned when the lead singer publicly put earplugs in his ears. The first act launched into their set playing at a volume that was simply too loud for the small venue. I attended a live music event and should have been warned when the lead singer publicly put earplugs in his ears. The first act launched into their set playing at a volume that was simply too loud for the small venue. Sitting as far away from the band as possible; any chance to appreciate the skill and expertise of the musicians was lost as the music was extremely distorted. When the music started the small bar was packed with people; after 20 mins probably a 1/3 had left and within 15 or 20 minutes of the second act starting at least 2/3 of the original crowd had left and with them a huge chunk of turnover for the bar simply walked out the door because it wasn't an enjoyable experience.
We visited this restaurant every night during our stay in Barrytown, and each time, we enjoyed great hospitality. While the menu is somewhat limited, I can truly vouch for the quality of the food. The staff welcomed us warmly, and we had some wonderful conversations. It’s a lively spot that’s perfect for a pleasant evening out.
Excellent service and high-quality food. The friendly staff provided us with fascinating insights into life on the West Coast, both past and present. Highly recommended!
