Yoi get what you see. A 50's style fast food type diner. Homemade burgers, fries and ice cream. Service wasn't particularly fast but there is a patio to sit while you wait and the food is good quality for what it is View all feedback.
What Gary Cooper doesn't like about Dairy Freez:
Ordered a hamburger to go. It took almost 30 minutes. The meat patty was over cooked, very dry. The bun seemed like a day old, with a flaking crust. At any price, the burger was $10, I would have expected better. Others who dined in waited just as long for a simple breakfast meal. Not in my list to return to. This busy restaurant served both lunch goers and those looking for ice cream cones. Food was fine, but nothing special. Good soup, average perogies, okay lasagna.
The servers were very friendly and the ice cream was tastey. There was free wifi and the place had plenty of parking.
Stopped in for lunch. Tried the chicken wrap which was delicious. Partner had a burger and fries. Burger was ok and fries left much to be desired. But the place is known for its ice cream - Kawartha Ice Cream - and that definitely didn't disappoint.

We have been going here for summer ice cream for years and we are always impressed by the generous serving you get. It is not like one heavy handed summer employee is responsible because it is always the same. Some day we will hit the menu for a burger but if you are craving some ice cream this is the place - great selection and friendly people!
