What Straker doesn't like about Bosuns Locker Cafe:
Rang to book a table. The person who answered said the'd be right back...I assumed they were busy! Well I waited,waited and waited...life was ticking away. I must have waited 15-20 mins. I was growing a visible beard by this stage. I then decided I could be fed and watered elsewhere. I do hope they replace the receiver sometime or they may struggle with telephone orders. The restaurant is always a pleasant visit with friendly staff and delicious food at a great value. It's also dog-friendly, making it an even more enjoyable experience.
This restaurant is very popular and busy. We stopped by for lunch and were impressed by the variety on the special board menu. They also offer a separate gluten-free menu. The staff, who are all young, are friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The chips were especially tasty. Our only disappointment was that our table could have been cleaner; we had to ask for it to be wiped down. Despite this, we would definitely come back, especially considering the affordable price of £6.50 for a burger and chips. I recommend making a reservation to ensure you have a table. Enjoy!
I had a great experience at this charming restaurant! The food was fantastic, the staff was lovely, and it was excellent value for money. I will definitely make a point to visit again when I am in the area.
Third time we have eaten here and it was delicious . Great food generous portions, good service. A real gem of a find. My husband and I had scampi with homemade chips, peas AND a lovely fresh salad. Also one son had lamb shank with chips and veg and elder son enjoyed burger .
Wow this is a hidden gem. It's like a tardis inside! Full menus, specials, snacks. What a find. Packed out. Staff brilliant
