Description

At Barrington Arboretum, inventive Asian fare and standout sushi—including realistic vegan salmon-avocado rolls—shine in a lively, well‑decorated space with a lantern room and courtyard patio. Cocktails, sake and tea pair well with varied dishes from Pad Thai to Szechuan stir‑fry; vegan options impress. Service is generally quick and friendly, though occasional lapses at the end of the meal are reported. Prices trend high, but bold flavors and a broad menu make it a memorable Barrington dining destination.

Great atmosphere. Food is delicious! Cocktails were refreshing and yummy. Quick and friendly service. Nice outdoor patio facing one of the courtyards and the movie theater.

First I would like to start out by saying WOW!!! The food here is absolutely amazing. @woknfire ROCKS !!! Excellent food, great ambience, and outstanding service. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The dishes were bursting with flavors. The menu is broad enough to cover all taste and preferences. Tried the chicken lettuce wraps, grilled salmon, and Szechuan stir fry with lo mein. Will be back here to try the Sushi next time. Good find in the Barrington, IL area.

Sushi was really good. We had the St Charles roll and the Las Vegas roll. Stir fry was pretty good but I would definitely recommend sushi over stir fry. Crab Rangoon was pretty standard. Fun atmosphere and decor. I felt like it was a little over-priced.

Pad Thai was delicous maybe a little mushy? Still great and the bartender with the beard and freckles was super helpful. The lantern room was super pretty and they have a nice sake selection

The food was pretty good but the service was very odd. In the beginning the waiter kept checking on us if we needed anything, which we did need to replace an order Bc my friend can’t eat chicken which she clarified but they still put chicken. then after that We sat for hours after we finished eating until we noticed the server never checked on us to give us the bill. We had to ask another worker how were supposed to pay since we were expecting the server to walk by so we can ask for the bill. I felt like we were forgotten about at the end but at the same time we did enjoy our time sitting outside for a while and no one bothered us.
