Good Plenty - Barrington

From what I see on other sites, this restaurant has permanently closed. Restaurant is dark and nothing on their marquee.

We thought we would try for breakfast this morning. Very disappointed and will not go back. We had Tammy for a waitress. She took our drink order and was slow delivering it. When she delivered the beverages she took our breakfast order. About a half hour later she came back to check to see what we wanted and at that time placed our order. She again asked if we wanted another coffee and tea. She finally came around filling the coffee, but made a comment that my husband was lucky she filled it because we were't Her table (when in fact we were). the meal came which was not hot at all, it was warm at best, again she offered to get me another cup of tea. However I never received the second cup of tea. We did not finish our meals and no offer to give us a take home box or ask if there was a reason why we didn't finish our meal. She made a comment to some men at another table that she wasn't on top of her game her daughter was giving her a tough time. If this was the case she should have stayed with her daughter instaed of jeopardizing the restaurants reputation. I also saw her come out of the kitchen blowing her nose but never washed her hands before handling someone's food. We will not go back ever.

I went to Good and plenty on Monday July 3rd. When I arrived the restaurant was fairly busy, about 20 customers. I sat down at the counter and was brought coffee right away. Watching the hustle and bustle of the restaurant I realized their was only one waitress, Tammy. I watched as she took care of all of the customers, while she did have to tell a few customers she would be right with them, everyone was being taken care of. As more customers came in the peak was 37) she just worked harder and harder to keep everybody happy. When I asked why she was the only one on she told me that someone had called in sick. I was astonished at her attitude to dig in deeper and not give up. great job. As a follow up I have come in and seen 3 people do what she did by herself.

We ate here for the first time for a late breakfast and were surprised at how clean the restaurant was. The staff was efficient and friendly. The food came promptly and cook the way it was ordered with large cups of coffee. Only suggestion would be to have homemade bread. We will be going back again!

Stopped in for lunch on a semi-busy Sunday.Waitstaff was prompt and professional.Food was very good-not phenomenal,but very good.Price was very reasonable.Would definitely stop again.
