Station House Family Dining - Barriere

So pleased we stopped at this roadside diner on our travel towards Clearwater. All food homemade and served with a warm smile. We called for lunch but all diets big and small catered for. The homemade Cream of Broccoli soup was amazing. The food was so good we called on our way back from Clearwater and guess what the food and service was still amazing

After studying the menu looking for something healthy to eat, I finally settled on lasagne and salad, which I think says it all about the choices! The lasagne was homemade and good. My husband had a steak sandwich which was fine. It's not cheap. The service was ok and the one server did her best during the busy dinner hour. The atmosphere is lacking with tired carpet that looks none too clean. We would only go back there as a last resort.

I found this gem couples months ago after I relocated to this area.

We ate here on Thanksgiving and had good quality meals at a very reasonable cost. The size of the portions were huge. The servers were kept very busy but were pleasant and chatted to us. It is family run and a good choice of place to eat. Visually the restaurant is not much to look at and is more like a cafe in appearance but that didn't spoil our meal.
