The server didn't check on us at all; I had to ask for ketchup and napkins myself. I'm dairy intolerant, and despite informing the server when I asked for almond milk, they still put butter on my toast. You could really tell they don’t change their oil; the food lacked quality. I ordered the express meal and after just a few bites, I didn’t like it. The grease was overwhelming, and both my boyfriend and I ended up with upset stomachs. The only redeeming quality was their homemade jam.

The hollandaise sauce was lacking in flavor and had a texture that suggested it had been refrigerated for a few days. Although I received the wrong order, the server was a bright spot in this experience. She promptly corrected the error, so I appreciate her efforts.

I had the Steak Benedict sub fruit for tomato which was nice. Solid four stars because the food was good, not amazing or over the top like some other breakfast places I have been to for the same price. Five stars for the server alone. I definitely would recommend for the Barrie area if you are looking for good value in a nice experience.

Normally, I woul... read more I have to share some fantastic feedback about Flapjacks Barrie on Mapleview. I ordered two identical meals through Skip, but only received one. Normally, I would contact Skip for assistance, but I decided to call the restaurant instead. The person I spoke with was exceptional. She acknowledged her mistake, asked for my location, and offered to personally deliver the order. It arrived at my door incredibly quickly, and she included plenty of extra jam while repeatedly apologizing for the mix-up. Kudos to this restaurant for going above and beyond! And by the way, the food is delicious!

She doesn't have her restaurant with the right address in skipping the dishes, so I went over Barrie trying to find it and she called me so rude I just didn't get my food and she charged me fully! Horrible never supports this restaurant because they do not support the community in which we live. Rude with terrible customer service. Giving a star is generous.

Since Flapjacks is the same owners, we dec... read more We stopped by our favourite breakfast place Stacked in Angus, but it was crazy busy and the line up was out the door. Since Flapjacks is the same owners, we decided to give it a try. We were greeted right away, but it took 10 min to have a table cleared and ready for us. Another 10 min to place our orders. We were seated right by the kitchen, and were astounded by the slowness and confusion we saw back there. There was no well oiled machine back there. Plates for tables with multiple guests were coming out one at a time, with several minutes between. Being in somewhat of a hurry, we ordered the Express Breakfast. After waiting more than 1/2 hr to get out food, it came ... WRONG ! My husband's Sunny side Up eggs were slightly done on the bottom, and the rest was raw. When he told the server that they had to go back and done properly, she actually asked him what she should tell the kitchen ... the eggs were raw, so that should have been obvious. She seemed quite confused that he wouldn't just eat them uncooked. I don't know if it was all new staff, and it certainly seemed that way, but it was not an experience I want to repeat. We will continue to patronize Stacked in Angus, but will NEVER go back to Flapjacks on Mapleview Dr West. I hope management reads this review, and takes some corrective action.
