Restaurante la Cueva Barranquilla

I enjoyed my visit the night. Had entertainment and food was typical. Drinks of wine and beer are reasonable.. Watch your surroundings in this area. In the streets of 43 and deeper, you are in the lower level and could be less sure if not with someone to know the area. It is near the great mall similar to Buenavista with casino etc...

La Cueva was a meeting place for local intellectuals 60 years ago; Today the waiters can tell you anecdotes about the place and its famous visitors. There are many pictures and paintings hanging on the walls with the history of the restaurant. There is life music and a fun atmosphere. The food is average.

The restaurant was rated as excellent, but despite the expectations it does not show the quotes. The building shows a lot of history, but the food was not good likely the fish was not especially fresh. The live music was too loud and the service was pretty slow. The owner and the waiters seemed to take care of the locals rather than the tourists. In Taganga I have eaten the same food in a beach restaurant much more delicious and applied for almost a third of the price in La Cueva. Really bad because quality and service do not reflect prices, but if you want to try...

This is a great place to visit. Barranquilla history of intellectuals are here. The 5 minutes video should be watched by anyone who goes there. I was there at noon. The food is okay, but not great. Some of us didn't like their food. One of the best was the Keviche.

Me encanto el lugar, la atencion, la comida...Nos presentaron un video donde se documenta la historia del lugar, es maravillo estar alli, en un lugar donde tantas mentes maravillosas d mi pais estuvieron reunidas, donde nacieron tantas obras majestuosas.. TODO EXCELENTE.
