it is not just a place to stay, but an entire experience. the personal is great and very attentive. the architecture is unique and evocatiw. very remembers the golden age of the city. the location is very central, the rooms are very comfortable and the prices are great considering what you get. What User doesn't like about El Prado:
Shows nicely from the outside. The bathrooms in the rooms could use significant updating and repair. The thermostatic valves in each of my parties rooms was broken so your shower was extremely hot or extremely cold. Service was excruciatingly slow at the pool. It's a pretty hotel though. Excellent staff! safe and ready to serve 24/7 they expect, welcomed by a friendly concierge and supported to a small paradies. the restaurants are good and surrounded by a palm yard with pool area. the rooms are clean in this historical property, and the plots are constantly visited. the employees of the reception are informed about the opposite and there is always a nice taxi that brings them to the local prices everywhere, no fee. do not worry to take cash into the pool if they want a cocktail or a meal, simply invite them into their room. there is a lot to this specialty that I still have to discover and they will enjoy a professional, family or romantic holiday here.
Everything about this hotel was perfect. every single employee from the reception to the doorman to the restaurant staff made us so welcome. they radiated warmth and friendliness and offered us the best service we experienced in Colombia (we were mostly in international brand names 5 star hotels, but el prado was even better). the swimming pool is a dream, huge, warm, never too full, in an interior of mature palms. the building itself is iconic in a beautiful Art Deco style reminds of the great south florida hotels. this beautiful anwesen made our stay in baranquilla absolutely perfect. we would definitely return.

We were for a night in the hotel el prado and it was extremely magical. the hotel is absolutely beautiful. the personal is very friendly. we can't wait to go back!
Dated rooms, be prepared for no hot water, beds are the older side but the A/C is strong and ultimately it's relatively simple. But this place isn't really about the rooms. It's a lovely old colonial style place, really beautiful grounds with several on site restaurants, a giant pool, and a kid's playground. The kitchen is very slow but the food is good and fresh, especially the seafood. The staff are very friendly (albeit rule oriented! and we had a lovely three night stay with two small children. Compared with other hotels I have stayed at in BAQ (Estelar Alto Prado and Four Points it's full of character and style!
