The Playhouse - Barraba

We found this wonderful place on route to Brisbane and the whole experience was fantastic and surreal. Andrew is a generous host and we had great conversations about art and all. Watching 'Life of Pi ' in the private theatre with a glass of Eden Valley Riesling was fantastic and indulgent. There is a focus on detail and style here that is rare. One of our best travel experiences.

What a wonderful weekend we had at The Playhouse. Our group were thoroughly looked after by Andrew and all the staff.....nothing was a problem! The food was fabulous, the comfortable, cosy front room was rearranged to accomodate our needs for our Embroidery Retreat and we had the best time!

We stayed here while attending a wedding in the area and we were thoroughly impressed. Rooms were dated but clean. Adequate facilities. Most of all the staff were amazing! We were always greeted with a smile and nothing was too hard. They even had dinner and dessert ready for us in our room as we were arriving late. I would definitely recommend a stay at the playhouse hotel!

What a wonderful way to bring in the new year. Andrew was an excellent host; attentive, entertaining and obliging. The setting for our NYE dinner outside under the vines was magical and the food was delicious. Our rooms, which looked out to the lovely wide main street, were delightful. And finally well done to the staff.... love your work!! What a gem this place is we will be back.

What a surprising little gem in the heart of NSW! We had a wonderful overnight stay. I can't recommend this place highly enough!
